Itinerary

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you'll be welcomed by our guide who will brief you on your upcoming adventure. From there, enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside, passing rolling hills, lush tea plantations, and local villages. Along the way, you’ll make a stop at the equator for some photo opportunities. After approximately 8 hours on the road, you'll arrive at your accommodation in the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by nature as you prepare for the exciting trek ahead.

This is the highlight of your tour! After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers who will guide you on gorilla etiquette. The trekking adventure begins as you venture deep into the dense jungle in search of a habituated gorilla family. Depending on the location of the gorillas, the trek can last between 2 to 6 hours. Once you find them, you will have the rare opportunity to spend up to one hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural surroundings. After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest or choose to take part in an optional community walk to interact with the local Batwa people.

On your third day, take it easy after the physically demanding trek. After breakfast, you may opt for a cultural experience by visiting the nearby Batwa community. Learn about their unique way of life, their history as forest dwellers, and their traditional hunting techniques. The Batwa are known as the "keepers of the forest," and their stories and dance performances are both educational and captivating. Alternatively, you can choose to relax at your lodge, soaking in the peaceful forest atmosphere, or take part in a nature walk to explore more of Bwindi's rich biodiversity.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, with lunch en route. The scenic return drive offers a final chance to admire Uganda’s stunning landscapes. Upon arrival in the late afternoon or evening, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight or to your hotel if you’re extending your stay in Uganda.
